Polyethylene glycol (PAG) is a series of polymers of ethylene glycol having a molecular weight of from about 200 to 6000, acquired by condensation of ethylene glycol or of ethylene oxide and water, used as an emulsifying agent and lubricant in ointments, creams, etc. PAG is polyether compound that is basically used industrial manufacturing to medicine. PAG is soluble in water and in many organic solvents, and are used in detergents, in cosmetics, and as emulsifiers, lubricants, and plasticizers.
